In certain cases, a bone in the mouth may need to be strengthened or reconstructed to support a dental implant. This is where a block graft plays an important role. During this procedure, a piece of bone is taken from one part of the body — often either the chin or the ascending rams of the lower jaw — and screwed into place in the necessary area of the mouth. The bone can also be taken from a donor in some cases.
Soft Dental will work with you to determine if a bone graft is needed to support your dental implant and can perform the entire procedure from start to finish to best serve your smile.
